BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) - A Brunswick man pleaded guilty earlier this month in federal court to being a felon in possession of a firearm. If Cortez Arbery, 25, is determined to be an armed career criminal, he will serve at least 15 years in prison. He was in possession of stolen .38-caliber pistol after having been previously convicted of three felony drug offenses, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Georgia. Arbery's guilty plea was the latest of several federal prosecutions cracking down on gun, drug and violent crime in the Brunswick area."
"This family are not strangers to the local criminal justice system. From best we can tell, Ahmaud's older brother has gone to prison in the past and is currently in the Glynn Jail, without bond, awaiting new felony prosecution. It also appears a cousin has been prosecuted by DA Johnson's office. Ahmaud, the deceased, had a juvenile and adult felony record." --George E Barnhill, District Attorney, Waycross GA Judicial Circuit"
Gosh.
I take issue with the prosecutors statement. Nowhere in the U.S. are people punished for their relative's crime. That's a communist thing. They tried to smear Trump about his father being arrested. I guess you agreed with that smear?
So now we know who stole/laundered the stolen handgun from the McMichael’s truck that occurred a few weeks before this incident.
