I have seen nothing saying Tesla is looking at moving their assembly plant.
“Headquarters and future projects”.
With so much of what had been “Paper pushing” now being done “On-line” and “Work from home” moving the “Headquarters” may not mean very much at all as a physical move.
NV has no state income tax, so anyone making the move effectively gets an immediate raise in pay.
I’m sure Elon already has an office at the battery/Motor factory outside of Reno.
So all he has to do is expand it a bit for the core engineers and accountants, instant headquarters moved.
The industrial park has plenty of room to set up for any other projects.
I personally would still prefer he go somewhere else, he attracts insane libs with grand schemes to “Save us from ourselves” weather we like it or not.
Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately. If we even retain Fremont manufacturing activity at all, it will be dependen on how Tesla is treated in the future. Tesla is the last carmaker left in CA.
