Do I sense a note of optimism? Hope so.
I saw a note above or maybe on Twitter where someone heard from a relative in Ireland and they said they figured “the world” would go bonkers about the fear and threat of the virus but she thought Americans would not go all gaga over it. That we are rebels and do not panic easily. But, yes, it seems we did. Like sheep loading onto box cars.
Media panicked the populace. We have to prevent that.
Do you remember that old Robert Redford movie, Three Days of the Condor?
There was a scene where a “mailman” visited the news office.
We need more scenes like that. Maybe one where Wolf Blitzer, Fredo Coumo, Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper, Don Lemon, Brian Stetler, Christiana Ammanpour, and Van Jones get to meet the “mailman”.
It would be a start on the correct road to redemption.
