Analysis of cellphone location data in high-security area of Wuhan virology lab that studied coronavirus in bats indicates it shutdown in October after a 'hazardous event'
The private analysis reviewed publicly-available cellphone location data It said there was no cellphone activity in a high-security area of China's Wuhan Institute of Virology for most of October 2019
The report suggested that there was a 'hazardous event' there early in the month US intelligence analysts have not been able to confirm if there was a shutdown The report does not offer any direct evidence for either of its suggestions Some believe the report could provide proof that the coronavirus was accidentally released by the lab WHO officials continue to believe that natural animal-to-human transmission and the Wuhan wet market was the likely origin of the virus Heres how to help people impacted by Covid-19
Documents analyzing cellphone location data are said to show that a high-security laboratory studying coronavirus in Wuhan was shut down in October, according to a new report.
NBC News reported that US spy agencies are reviewing the document - a private analysis obtained by the news company's London-based verification unit - which claims that there was no cellphone activity in a high-security area of China's Wuhan Institute of Virology between October 7 and October 24, 2019.
The report, which was based on commercially-available cellphone location data - indicates that there might've been a 'hazardous event' in that area between October 6 and October 11.

That window also partially overlaps the National Day/Golden Week holiday. Not proof that an incident didn’t happen during that window, just another data point.
Yeah but they didnt cancel the Wuhan Games in October 2019. 140 countries participated. USA sent 170 participants.

China is the single source of evil in the entire world.
Maybe not in classified areas, but these are biohazard areas. People are allowed to have cell phones in the “sterile” areas of airports.
I’m one of them. I only added that part because another suggested it...
Because ORANGE MAN BAD, that's why!
No problem. Just a little humor. I am well onto that area myself. Just celebrated another decade and it as not 60 or 60.
or 70.
or 70.
China's upset the world's being 'as racist' as they were after after the Tiananmen Square slaughter... they see themselves as the victims of our hate. The psychopaths murdering hundreds of thousand of people around the world FEEL SORRY FOR THEMSELVES...
WE - the civilized world - are looking down on psychopathic killers... and they want our pity?
You're right Laz - China's the single largest source of evil in our world today.
Good to see you. Looks like this may be the report in question:

They probably discovered a change in cell phone activity for the location.
However, lab workers could bring their phones to the lab, change into BSL4 gear and leave their phones in the changing room with their other personal effects. So, the phones would be at the building - theoretically. Just speculation on my part. As noted, the Chinese are notorious for not following safety and quality assurance protocols.
I don’t think so. If what I’m thinking about is what you’re referring to. The Chinese tried to blame US military who were in Wuhan for some sort of games for bringing the virus TO Wuhan. That little gambit really ticked off Trump.
Well, there is the one data point that millions of cell phone accounts were deactivated in Dec/Jan.
China is the single source of evil in the entire world.
There is Pakistan.

Its interesting data. But October 1-7, and perhaps beyond, is a big vacation period in China, especially for those who can afford to travel. I wish the report referred to in the DM (I checked out the slide set) had compared findings to the prior year.
You make a valid point.
