Two 20 somethings renting a 2/2 in a shady part of town could survive on that, no problem. I did it when I was in my 20s, but I earned that $24K with hard work.
If the government prints the (fiat) money to guarantee 15K/yr, how long do you think they will be able to survive on the 15K? Too many $$$ chasing too few products and services creates inflation (?).
