I don't know how many WWII veterans are still alive today, but the youngest would be 93 years old and the average age probably a few years older than that. Fewer than half will be around for the 80th anniversary of V-E Day. We need to honor those who are still here while we can.

75 years ago today my father was not one of those celebrating V-E Day. He was busy being shot at by the Japanese on Okinawa.

Nice - my FIL flew B24’s too he was in he 446th. RIP a long time ago.
