Exactly what is happening in Canada. Summer construction season is opening up and many workers are happy to stay home on government benefits, that don’t run out until mid-July. Because of restrictions on temporary foreign workers, there are hundreds of jobs available in fish processing and farming, but local’s won’t do that work. One politician suggested that students, who are already complaining there won’t be any summer jobs, fill those seasonal jobs. There were howls of outrage at the suggestion that these snowflakes might actually have to get their hands dirty in order to make some money for school.
