New Jersey is extending its public health emergency over the coronavirus pandemic for another 30 days, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Wednesday.
Murphy signed an executive order that will keep the declaration in place through at least June 6.

I live in NJ and I don’t think this is going to work out too well for him. Folks will still go to their houses down the short for Memorial Day Weekend. I imagine there will be a massive traffic jam on the Atlantic City Expressway that weekend.
Also, heard weeks ago he was bragging about keeping the state closed until the end of July.
He is pure evil.
It will keep being extended until Nov 3rd. If, in the unlikely chance, Biden (or whoever the Dims nominate) wins the election, then it will “magically” be lifted.
I think Trump is sucking it up, lest it backfire against him and hurt him in November. I'm confident that once he is reelected, he will "let slip the dogs of war" on the communists among us.
And NJ weasles say “Yes sir”.
That will never happen. There are far too many urban areas that will blindly vote dem no matter what, coupled with wealthy liberals in the suburbs who will do the same.
We get the occasional republican governor, because every dem governor screws things up so badly, but the legislature and our Congressional reps in DC will always be almost exclusively dems.
“he will “let slip the dogs of war” on the communists among us.”
The same was said when he first took office in January 2017 and not a damned thing of the sort has happened. If anything, they’ve become more brazen and open.
I guess the question is...what are New Jersey residents going to do about it?
Must be trying to put NJ in Presidents Trumps column
No other way that it goes red.
In defense of the people of NJ. The good Governor and his intentions are misplaced and very suspicious. Do you not think his state will be no more at risk between 2 sh!t-holes 30 days from now... or 120 days from now. NO! His state has more deaths that happen when it’s not locked down attributed by typical mortality from a social free-roaming/moving/commerce-engaging economy.

He’s not saving lives, he’s destroying them... their health, livelihoods, and businesses by imposing the agony of quarantine another 30 days.
Hey new jersey-ites. Act like you are Free Citizens of the United States of America. Throw these tyrannical bums OUT! Freedom isn’t free...
You are correct. That’s why I have started looking for work in other states. I will leave NJ as soon as I can. I had planned to let my son complete high school to minimize the impact of the move on him. It is time to go and he agrees.
The shore towms are begining to ooen.
He is ( so far) letting the Cape May shore towns stay open. H’ED BETTER!
But Krispy redirected traffic!
Democrat governors just have to put their own states economies in the crapper in order to harm Trump’s re-election chances. That’s how totally selfish they are. It’s always all about their filthy dirty politics and they care nothing about the people.
BS.
Don't blame Philly and NYC, The People's Democratic Republic of New Jersey has it's own ample supply of ****holes. Camden, Newark, Trenton, Patterson, Elizabeth, Jersey City, East Orange, New Brunswick, and more.
But Comrade Murphy does appreciate your kind words.
So much for Memorial Day celebrations at the Jersey shore. Probably will be some cheap beachfront property for sale.
blue state governors are doing this on orders from pelosi to keep the economy crippled and put more people, out of work
No, the shore towns are opening.
I live in this POS “Blue” State. DON’T EVER think about living here! I warn you! Also, watch out for the NJ plates infecting “Red” States like Locust. They WILL turn your Red State blue in a few election cycles.
