Most new Covid-19 hospitalizations in New York state are from people who were staying home and not venturing much outside, a “shocking” finding, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday.
The preliminary data was from 100 New York hospitals involving about 1,000 patients, Cuomo said at his daily briefing.
It shows that 66% of new admissions were from people who had largely been sheltering at home. The next highest source of admissions was from nursing homes, 18%.
MY GOD THE VIRUS GOES THROUGH WALLS LOL..They probably invited people over and someone had the virus. Our next door neighbor has been inviting people over for Shabbat dinner, none of my business of course we have zero interaction with them but I can hear them from my window living it up in their backyard surrounding their fire pit..so yeah, people are staying home but they are still having folks over
Well, immune systems are very much weakened when confined, for one thing.
Staying indoors doesn’t always equal no contact with others. Is that accounted for in these figures - having guests, family members and other people coming and going?
And sadly, the people who vote for him are just as dumb. The rest of us normal, and bright people in New York State are doomed.

Its because here in CA, this virus has been around for MONTHS, my guess, early December, back then, no one knew, now we know, that is the only difference..we have been staying home, going no where, yet everyday there are over 1600 new cases, so where the heck are these people getting the virus from Im sick of this stay at home order, I’ll wear a mask and gloves I dont care just want to go the mall have a burger
Most NYers have been staying home. In apartment buildings. Pickled in closed ventilation, hallways, elevators, etc., with thwir infected neighbors.

Yes now Cuomos got it: just talking about opening the country backup causes the number of cases to flare even though those areas are still in lockdown.

Ill tell you whats shocking, 13000 dollars for covid diagnosis upon entering the hospital and 39000 dollars when you are put on a ventilator from medicare. No wonder they dont want you to have hydroychloriquine IT WILL PREVENT YOU FROM GOING TO THE HOSPITAL an a loss of revenue. A ventilator is NOT a treatment it ends in a body bag. Ill tell you whats shocking, A direct order from you to send the infected accompanied by a body bag to nursing homes, 4800 elderly mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, war vets are dead because of you.
