Just watched a video of what China's up to in the Solomon Islands....and they're buying the leadership with their usual promises of instrastructure etc. When what China really wants is their huge gold mine and ownership of the Islands because they're demographically right on the track for China’s Belt and Road ambitions in the Pacific..
