No, it works FOR democrats because moron republicans see them out hunting quail and think “he’s ok!”. It never works for republicans to attract democrats.

All I need to know about political polls I learned in the last days of the 2016 campaign.

This poll is absurd. 81%+ of the participants are registered voters. The other 18% aren’t registered, don’t know, or won’t vote. Guess what the margin is between Trump and Biden is ? Yup. 18%. That doesn’t even account for the bizarre 33%D/26%R/35%I (which could be anything) surveyed.

The article falsely claimed the state is trending Democrat. Colorado’s peak Democrat performance was in 2008 when Zero got 54%. He declined to 51% in 2012. Hillary got a paltry 48.2% plurality. Trump carried Pueblo County, the first time it had gone GOP for President since 1972. Ditto Las Animas County (Trinidad), getting 55% there, the highest percentage for a Republican Presidential candidate since at least 1908 and perhaps ever. Out of 64 counties, Trump won 42 and increased his % over Willard in most of them (and took 5 additional counties in the process). Hillary carried just 22 counties and 7 by only a plurality.

Biden is a profoundly flawed and degenerate nominee. Again, at his best and shiniest, Zero could get just 54% in 2008 and was becoming lackluster even against a ringer nominee again in 2012 (51%). That he could magically jump to 53% in the face of declining returns for the Dems makes no logical sense. If he gets Hillary’s 48.2%, that will be remarkable in itself.

BTW, I don’t even get to the Gardner-Hickenlooper contest, because the latter hasn’t been nominated, yet, AND he was overwhelmingly repudiated by the party members at the Dem convention, who preferred the even more ultraleft nutter Andrew Romanoff. Just like with Biden vs. Sanders, there’s likely to be an aggrieved group not willing to support the nominee if their guy is not nominated (despite the fact there is virtually no difference ideologically between the two).

You want to write off seats based on flawed and biased polling ? By that reckoning in 2016, “Trump is toast. Write him off.”

Except he wasn’t a “Centrist.” He was a lying fraud. Sadly, the AG was not a strong enough candidate to defeat him, because he was very defeatable in a state where Trump won EVERY single county.

He doesn’t, but Boulder County is utterly psychotic. 70% for the Butcheress of Benghazi and just 22% for Trump in 2016. Believe it or not, Denver was even more deranged as the most Dem county in the state. 73% for the Butcheress and just 18.9% for Trump.

To show just how insane those two places have become just since the 1980s, Denver voted for Reagan by a 42% plurality in 1980 (swung to Mondale with a bare 50% in 1984) and Boulder voted for Reagan with 55% in 1984.

What about 2018, 2014, 2012, 2010, 2008 polling? Those were all pretty much correct.

Truth is, Colorado (my native state) has been swinging leftward since the 1990s when a vast housing boom turned the various cities along the I-25 Corridor stretching from Pueblo in the south to Fort Collins in the north, with Denver in between, into one giant megalopolis filled with out-of-state liberal newcomers.

You can spend all day walking around this vast stretch and not run into a single person who was actually born in Colorado. They all came here from somewhere else and most of them brought their liberal values with them. My former congressional district was once occupuied by conservative stalwart Tom Tancredo. A Democrat now holds the seat.

I left almost two decades ago. I'll never live there again. I don't even recognize the place anymore when I visit. I don't doubt this article at all. While there's still conservative bastions in the small mountain towns and farming communities, they just don't have the numbers to influence politics. Hickenlooper will be Colorado's next Senator and Biden will easily carry the state.

Sounds a lot like what's happening here in Texas.

It is May 5. We are in the midst of a contrived pandemic. This poll of 500 people, some not registered to even vote is worthless.

Of course it still got the desired impact. The Chicken Little wing of FR is talking doom already.

“I figure the House is lost to the DEMs. Sounds like the Senate may be heading that way.”

And what do you base that conclusion on exactly?

Yep, changing demographics and brainwashing schools and media are making it hard for the GOP...but nothing make it’s harder than the complete, utter spinelessness of most of the GOP politicians. Zero fight for their constituents and America. Trump can’t do it all by himself in DC. They would rather be liked by the Dems and the media than help average Americans. And, then, they wonder why they lose.

McSally has a third party conservative playing the Perot/Arpaio role. She hasn’t done anything wrong, but the left really wants a gun grabber senator in Arizona to provide their Satanic jollies.

I hearken back to the Clinton days when suddenly there appeared a long series of “polls” that distinguished between a President’s “public performance” and his “private life,” and within a couple years, poof! They were gone. Never to be heard from again... and it’s been a good 20-some years now.

The liberal hive in and around Denver has overwhelmed the rest of the state.

Why is there no way Hickenlooper can beat Gardner? We’re talking about CO, where Cali liberal parasite has transplanted there and attached itself to the host.

Everyone knows CO was overtaken by liberals from CA many years ago.

It was alright there on my first trip around 1980. I noticed a difference in attitudes in the late ‘80s. Last trip to CO was in ‘92 and it was a completely leftish State, to this Texan.
