The White House plans to wind down its coronavirus task force in coming weeks, the New York Times reported on Tuesday, adding it is not clear whether another group might replace the task force headed by Vice President Mike Pence and made up of health and logistics officials.
Officials in President Donald Trump’s administration are telling task force members and their staff to expect the group to wind down within weeks, according to the Times. Reuters did not immediately confirm the report.

I think Trump has made the calculated decision that the virus is going to fade and the important thing now is restarting the economy. A Depression is a far bigger threat to us now, as well as to his presidency.
Let his critics squeal about what goes wrong. They are going to anyway. He actually seems to thrive under that adversity.
The article alludes to a hand-off to some new committee. Perhaps including doctors who aren’t pants-wetting alarmists over this.

The hell of it is that neither of these two career bureaucrats has seen any real patients in almost a quarter of a century or more. Both have been sucking off the public trough for decades. Sorry, but I wouldn’t let either one of them anywhere near me in a hospital room. I’d rather take my chances with a Nurse Practitioner.
Another task force yes, only this time filled with pro-business experts and perhaps a few accountants who can assist the Blue states file for bankruptcy and cut state government staff and pensions for government workers.
