All of which may be true, but it does not detract from Edwards positive image and electability. What you say is what Republican base members have said a million times. It doesn't matter who the rats support is. The Republicans have to run electable fighters not ‘dignified losers’ such a Cassidy.

What you are doing is classic GOP middle class attitudes ‘It's not fair, it's not fair. The Dems lie and misrepresent us and their real goals. They are bad, bad, bad.’

Your memory fails you. Bill Cassidy beat, quite handily, Mary Landrieu, who had won election three times, including beating John Kennedy in 2008.

Cassidy will win re-election handily this fall. He will have no GOP opposition, and no significant Democrat opponent. Edwards is the ONLY Dem who has statewide appeal. For some unknown reason, otherwise sane Louisiana conservatives are mesmerized by his act, and have fallen for it twice.
