All this being said, Gov Edwards dailey, low key, briefing style has given him a big advantage in this Red tate. I suspect he may run against the leading GOP Louisiana cipher, Senator Bill Cassidy. Cassidy would be a noisey anti-Trumper if this was a mid west state. He, alone I think, of Dixie GOP senators made a public declaration in Oct 2016 that he was ‘sure’ he could work with a President Hillary. Since the Wuhan Virus broke he has been completely AWOL. in spite of being an MD. Like him or not Edwards has very positive optics, Cassidy has zero.
