This is satire, right? Alas, I fear not.
It isn't satire but there has been extremely poor reporting on this. The problem with these hornets isn't that they will kill a substantial number of humans. The destroy bees nests to get the wax and feed their own colonies. 10 or 20 hornets can kill off an entire bee colony in a few hours.
I saw on Fox where they claimed that bees are fighting back by generating heat. That was idiotic. When a hornet finds a bees nest it marks it then goes back for help. Some species of Bees have learned to lure that scout into the nest then smother it with bodies so it can't back out and can't kill them. They keep it smothered until their body heat kills it. Most colonies in America will not have this defense.
Our bee colonies have been distressed for several years now. These hornets just make things worse.
Post I saw yesterday.

Before becoming an IT specialist, I was a pest control technician, trained by the 2 leading companies in the industry. Asian hornets are not new. They didn’t just get to the US and they didn’t just start killing people in Asia. I learned about Asian hornets 6 years ago. The media is running out of juicy stories to scare you with. Stay woke.
