Numbers anyone? $2k per month to every adult?

let’s say 200m adults
X 2,000 = $400 Billion per month
X 12 = $4.8 Trillion per year

sure! What could possibly go wrong with that?

Better be armed. Someone might mug you for the wheelbarrow and you’ll have to carry the cash home.

You can't do any of this without first stopping ALL LEGAL IMMIGRATION for 4 decades or more.

Why wouldn’t this be a good idea since many smart Freepers keep telling me that WE ARE A “NATION OF CONSUMERS”? /sarcasm

Imagine this scenario. You, married, and three kids (two of them 16 to 18 years old). Total you get (with the two teens): $8,500. That’s per month. Figure six months worth....nearing $50,000.

I’d pack up the car and get everyone loaded....get a cabin rented out in Idaho for the whole time, with $5k worth of booze, and 1k pounds of t-bone steaks to grill

Ok, as long as you make the tax rate on it to be 120% compounded.

Do I need the /s?

The Dims do elect many idiots don’t they.

James Traficant is the guy Ryan went to work for (on Traficant’s Congressional staff) when Ryan got out of college, and he is who mentored Ryan in Ohio politics:

James Traficant: “He was expelled from the House after being convicted of 10 felony counts including taking bribes, filing false tax returns, racketeering, and forcing his Congressional staff to perform chores at his farm in Ohio and houseboat in Washington, D.C.[1] He was sentenced to prison and released on September 2, 2009, after serving a seven-year sentence”.

After Traficant was convicted and sent to prison, Ryan successfully ran for Traficant’s seat in the House.

Let’s remember Ryan attempted to beat out Pelosi for speaker of the House. Many on our side welcomed Ryan’s attempt. But look at his beginnings and his current idiotic proposal and understand there would be no blessings at all to have Ryan as speaker of the House. He would be as bad or worse without Pelosi’s bad public image baggage.

Yup... He stole this $2,000 per month idea from our dear leader Just not ready Trudeau the Socialist Prime Minister in Canada. Parts of Canada are now opening up... Only problem is... Why work when you can collect more money by sitting on you butt and doing nothing.

Socialism... Didn’t work then, doesn’t work now, won’t work EVER!

“OK,so the bill goes through.Within weeks of the first checks being released everything from rents,to chicken breasts,to chewing gum becomes 20% more expensive than before.”

Same thing happens with “minimum wage” increases. The polidiots don’t care. The Sheeple don’t care. They get instant gratification, and that’s all that matters.

I don't agree with that. Wages in the USA are at 1980's levels. The minimum wage needs to go up, a lot.

There is no correlation between inflation and the periodic raising of the minimum wage. Google the data.

My son is making more on unemployment and his “free” money. As a small business I’m getting hosed. I haven’t seen any $1,200 or whatever it is. And I really don’t care if I see it - what a joke.

No, they are not. In 1985, minimum wage was $3.35, and today federal is $7.24 but States have their own minimum wages hovering around $10. Market rates in most States are around $11.

In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all,
By robbing selected Peter to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: “If you don’t work you die.”

Make it $2 million and you’ve got yourself a deal.

I’ve got a brand new wheelbarrow so I’m all set for bread shopping.

Don’t forget to have a couple of freezers, also.
