Well they’ve been falsely claiming the Southern States fought to preserve slavery in the 1860s. Moving on to falsely claiming the 13 colonies fought to preserve slavery was always the next move.

As we Southerners have been telling y’all for 30+ years now.

I think it is more important to ask why such a claim is being made.

There are a number of “social justice” writers that claim our present government is illegitimate because of the “original sin” of slavery.

They further claim that the only was to correct this is to have a socialist government. They claim that socialism is the only way to end institutionalized racism, the grew out of slavery.
...........
We should not fall for the trap of arguing over revisionist history.

Was just thinking, looking at that picture (minus the talking head, of course), that the ink they used for their quill pens had to be able to last on the parchment. I’d never thought about it, but they used ‘iron gall ink’, made from a mixture of iron and tannins.
