3,000 per day would mean the death toll would be getting worse and going backwards toward levels seen in early april.
That makes no sense.
The medical profession is already in 30 days time much further along, since early april, with taking severe cases and getting them resolved without a death. The 3,000 number would imply our health professionals have declined in their proficiency at caring for severe cases.
That 3,000 a day number would project the month of May alone as having a number of deaths nearly equal to the total deaths so far. Makes no sense at all.

First, assuming this is true, then the elderly and those with major underlying health conditions should increase their sheltering as the ‘herd’ is let loose to infect each other.
We really need the ‘healthy herd’ to pass covid among themselves as they may not even have any symptoms and for sure the ‘healthy herd’ is not going to die from it.
But no deaths due to pneumonia nor heart failure.
