All of the countries with higher fatality rates than Sweden also have lockdowns, which shows how well lockdowns work. Spain, where I live, has been in lockdown since mid March. My town has over 27000 people, less than 10 reported cases and 0 deaths. The government calls this “countless lives saved,” which is a joke.

You live in Spain right? Did Spain lock down late and was having football games at the beginning of the outbreak. Europe likes their football all the bars and stadium were mostly likely pack.
Champions League match between Atalanta and Valencia in February may have been the reason why the virus spread so rapidly in the country.
Also Italy had the hug a china man thing going on too. Both Spain and Italy did not lock down until the spread started.
They could have treated Urban areas different but I wonder if the people in the cities would have fled to those areas too if they were not lock down.
