But Bush and his friends don't care if ONE illegal out of 5 picks the crops and tends the fire for them ON THE CHEAP. Why? Because the expenses of the other four are picked up by the American taxpayers.
Migrants pick California lettuce, Michigan cherries, etc - then when the pickin's done they go on food stamps and public housing until the next season comes around. No more of that old 'following the crops' like they use to do.
That's why these folks are 'cheap labor' - we're supporting them when their 'part time' employers don't need them. When illegals become legal they quit picking and apply for better jobs and the crooks - oops I mean the farmers - have to bring in a whole new bunch of 'cheap labor' and the cycle stats again.
