Asia’s ‘murder hornets’ were spotted in the United States for the first time recently, causing scientists to worry that the insect might be colonizing.
“In Japan, the hornets kill up to 50 people a year. Now, for the first time, they have arrived in the United States,” the New York Times reported Saturday.

With queens that can grow to two inches long, Asian giant hornets can use mandibles shaped like spiked shark fins to wipe out a honeybee hive in a matter of hours, decapitating the bees and flying away with the thoraxes to feed their young. For larger targets, the hornet’s potent venom and stinger — long enough to puncture a beekeeping suit — make for an excruciating combination that victims have likened to hot metal driving into their skin.

There is also a show on TV with 2 dudes who rate the stings and venom of many insects, fish, toe biters, etc- can’t remember name iof it- but hte show is wild to watch
Yeah but I hope we’ve exported some of our own annoying bugs and critters to them in return. Seems like only bad things come to America from Asia.

I know that all lumber made into Pallets has to be Heat Treated to go out of the USA. It must not be the other way around. It seems all these insect come in inside a shipping container or in the wood of a crate or a pallet.

Are these “Asian Hornets” any different from those we call Japanese Hornets? The Jap Hornets have been here for decades already.

The fabled bee colony collapse. Bees have been headed for extinction since I have been alive. There should be a hockey stick graph, from The Experts, out there to help scare everyone into action.
