Weve had some plants temporarily close because the workers were getting sick and some were dying. They closed to disinfect the plants and reopened with new protocols. The closures would cause a bottleneck and most likely the new protocols will result in a slowdown. Seems to me that someone needs to get going on getting these guys in the loop with who is open, closed, and slowed.
We are relatively hard hit and we have a LOT of Cargills Meat Packing plants.
I know there are small operators all over the place in many states and that these guys are not operating anywhere near capacity this time of year because it isnt deer season. Could there be a way to stitch these smaller businesses together in order to handle the extra beef supply?
