I highly recommend the movie “The Baader-Meinhof Complex”
No. I want them to commit seppuku on the air.
"Well, you'll get a hell of a rating, I'll tell you that. A 50 share, at least."
All the more reason to elect President Trump again . . . as if we needed another reason.
the results will make journalists ready for a gurney strapdown.
......................................................
Hilarious! We’re waiting in gleeful expectation to watch that spectacle. Order a case of popcorn Sweetheart, the show’s about to start!
Maybe these journalists should change jobs and learn to write code or become farmers.
As one who actually writes code for a living, I don’t want any of these people writing code.
They need to either stop drinking or drink more.
............................................
Never heard that line before. Clever!
We former drinkers can be very clever about drinking.;-)
Thanks, I’ll check it out.
She was a beautiful women, so much for the idea that all women or beautiful women are good.
She was evil.
Sure, I would love that too, if it ever gets done in my lifetime.
No mo info hoes
Schadenfreude?
All are suffering from hoax fatigue.
"As journalists, I don't think anybody cares about what party the president of the United States is," the producer says. "What they care about is being able to live their lives normally again. I think there's mental exhaustion around this presidency, and I don't know anybody who is enjoying it. I don't know anybody who wants to do another four years of this news cycle." The producer continues: "It's not a matter what his political beliefs or his ideological beliefs are. The exhaustion comes from his behaviors. That's it. His behavior is exhausting. ... I don't I think have ever run into anybody who says they literally hate Donald Trump the man. They're just exhausted by his behavior, and I think that's fair. Nobody I know is openly rooting for him to lose."
Assuming the producer isn't lying (a BIG assumption), then these people are even BIGGER WHINERS than the headline makes you think. I mean..these people basically TYPE for a living. They don't ALL follow Trump - they get dispatches (probably via email or twitter or some non-physical means), read them, then type up a story. When they are done typing, someone edits it. And they move on to the next typing job.
THIS IS EXHAUSTING?
But but but the Clintons typed up everything for them and handed it out. Now they have to listen, digest, send it out to the Clinton/Obama Klan, filter, give it a negative spin. It’s exhausting! They can’t just write up what he says and does. They have to tell you what to think about it. They have to have permission from someone as to what to tell you to think about it. It’s exhausting!
Who are they kidding? They NEED president Trump to stay afloat. They get their pitiful audience from those that need constant agitation to stay angry. If Clueless Joe were president, that would be a lot harder. They have already lost the American audience - they would then lose part of the anti-American bunch as well.
These peoples' job consists of getting a Tweet or a story from someone about Trump, maybe ask a few people what they think, and type it up. Then they hit SEND. They do that maybe 2-3x a day.
At worst they get carpal tunnel syndrome.
I don't think I have ever heard a more ignorant statement. That's the kind of statement that old fashioned newspaper editors made when their journalists asked for a raise.;-)
In a different vein, the reason journalists focus on Trump's behavior is that his actions and policies as President are sound. All journalists have against Trump is their personal dislike and that is indeed an exhausting thing to write about. It's more akin to gossiping for a living than gathering news.
Now, for someone in the Press Room, sure I am down with the possibility of exhaustion....but it has ALWAYS been exhausting. The Press Pool has to be here at such and such a time to board a plane if they want to follow the president to a NATO meeting in Brussels. You are treated poorly by foreign officials and you aren't sight-seeing and you really don't get great meals etc. But this isn't different today vs under Obama or Bush...unless you hate the Trump and then then you start hating your job.
and for anyone doing actual REAL reporting, where you gather facts, get eyewitness accounts, now that is tiring. In fact I have much more respect for a beat reporter who is doing way more than typing.
The only possible beef this lot may have with Trump is his relentless Tweeting, sometimes at night or early morning or on the weekend. But again, this is all pushed - they're not following him. So what do they have to do...."OMG, my phone went off...he tweeted....let me put on my glasses and turn on my laptop. I have to type something for my editor." They don't even have to put on pants. They can do this all 15 feet from their bed. Compare that to a plumber who gets a call at 11pm about a backed up sewar line.
I have zero sympathy for these whiners. I have more respect for a local reporter who covers the HS basketball team.
