Probably a combination of mail in votes and ballot harvesting.
That’s what I’d like to know since the legislature is majority Republican....You’d think statistically that a Republican governor should have been in place due to a majority legislature...but Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Michigan have all majority Republican legislatures but Democrat governors....something stinks mathematically.
The issue of legalized marijuana was on the ballot. It brought out leftists who hadn’t voted since 1969. Some of them were even still alive.
They threw marijuana legalization on the ballot and it brought out the leftists in full force. Thus, we got the facist in chief as a bonus.

Because the last Governor was blamed for Flints water crisis, and she ran on fixing pot holes. I escaped in my early 20’s when I felt my IQ dropping. Michiganers are dumb and mean. Wayne country, ingraham county and the UP hold the state hostage in a DNC Dingle hell hole!
Same way Omamba got elected. Don’t be surprised if she gets a 2nd term.

Michigan does not use an electoral college system to elect its governor. Most of her votes came from Metro Detroit.
