I think you have it right. But, IMHO, this was easily predictable. If I predicted it, and I did, then the politicians should have been able to do so as well. But I wonder.

As for Orange County, where I live, a lot of restaurants have closed. But many have stayed open for takeout and delivery. Yesterday I went to a restaurant to buy tacos and people were using the outside seating. There are others who could do the same and I expect they will. And soon, Governor approval or not.

Appointments with my general practitioner
and opthamologist were postponed for three months. Appointment with endicrinologist
was done over the phone. Blood sugar readings were uploaded and sent.

Podiatrist appointment did take place but
had to wear a mask. Will see dentist at
some point.
