Put a lien on their parents assets and let the IRS collect it from their welfare and food stamp accounts till its paid off.

Boy you could steal cars in 4 minutes back in the 80s with a screwdriver and a hammer :)

#11 My GM car certainly was back in 1988. They whacked the steering column which was made from pot metal. It shattered then a screwdriver was used to pull up the rod that the ignition was connected to. Bought steering column from junk yard to replace. Fixed at Montgomery wards!
Today my car has a anti theft device I know works as it stopped my car running the 1st day I had it. It was towed back to the dealer which fixed it.

Many of these cars will have Onstar or equivalent. Very easy to find that way. Not smart to steal.

My daily driver is a manual.
That will deter many since shifting gears is an uncommon ability.

This has been going on for some time and none of these dealerships beefed up their security? Something very fishy about this.

Theyve got the same problem here in the DC metro. There have been a series of car thefts from high-end used car dealers. In all the cases, a group breaks into the office, finds the keys, which are usually hung up in a simple lock box, not kept in a safe (which makes that a little suspicious to me), and drive off the most expensive ones.
