Good points. Mask wearing is a practical problem. The reality is that very few people have ever had to wear a mask for many hours.
.................
Without a check valve, glasses fog up, now we’re touching our face.
............
They get hot, now we’re touching our face.
...............
They itch, now we’re touching our face.
..............
Straps behind the ear really hurt after a while, now we’re touching our face.
...............
People to have to communicate, can’t do so often without pulling up or down on their mask, now we’re touching our face.
...............
Anybody see a pattern here?

Then, there is the problem with beards and no metal nose strip.
............
That causes a bad seal, air flows right around the mask.
............
When that beard gets hot, the wearer scratches and skin flakes that now have collected viruses, break off and fall to the ground or on clothing, for us to walk on and spread contamination.

I wear N-95s and respirators for jobs that I do all the time.

You're correct - it takes a very long time [easily weeks] to learn to just slap them on and leave them alone for the rest of the time they're on your face.
