The 64,283 plus number is not accurate, it is COVID plus presumed COVID or probable COVID.

I don't think the https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html 64,283 will be lowered since many states are going along with the plan to keep the COVID numbers up. There's no doubt there are flu deaths in the COVID numbers. Also when someone has both flu and COVID the outcome is worse. The FAQ explains

CDC U.S. COVID-19 case counts and death counts include both confirmed and probable cases and deaths. This change was made to reflect an interim COVID-19 position statement pdf icon[10 Pages, 251 KB]external icon issued by the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists on April 5, 2020. The position statement included a case definition and made COVID-19 a nationally notifiable disease.

The NCHS table ("provisional") has always had lower COVID numbers as long as I have watched it, but fluctuates as states send in official reports that are more accurate https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm The 37,308 is more accurate but it is provisional. There are data missing. They can't simply backfill with the newer reports from the COVID reporting system (which is separate). The 37,308 is not accurate because it is provisional and will eventually report 64k+ like the other reporting system, but possibly will report somewhat fewer but not a lot fewer.

The more interesting part of the reporting will be early next year looking at all excess deaths from this year. At that point it will be easy to see how many flu cases were reclassified as COVID.

Yeah. Let’s train people to not only mindlessly obey orders that defy reality but make them like it as well....

There is no reason to wear one in a store either. It does nothing to stop the spread of the virus

“Who’d ever think we’d reach a point where Rhode Island is a bastion of freedom?”

Lol, Strange times call for strange actions.

I’m leaving in an hour; wish me luck crossing the border with all my bootleg laundry.

It seems every time MA has a republican governor, the long arm of the Left grabs ahold of him and forces him to do Leftist things so that the voters will not vote again for a republican.

If only the republican governor was a STRONG person.

If only.
