An ongoing feud between the White House press corps and the conservative television network One American News Network has escalated, with the network asking the Trump administration to intervene and exert greater control over the White House press briefing room.
In a letter to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, legal counsel for OANN argued the White House is federal property and access to its press room should be governed in a manner similar to that of the U.S. Supreme Court, which does not have an outside 501c3 controlling press room access.
Currently, the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA), a private nonprofit organization, maintains a seating chart that limits press access to White House briefings.
The WHCA previously voted to ban OANN from the White House briefing room, claiming that the network had violated social distancing rules during the coronavirus epidemic. OANN White House reporter Chanel Rion said that since that ban she and her colleague Jenn Pellegrino, weekend White House reporter, had been harassed and intimidated by WHCA journalists and forced to stand in a roped-off corner of the briefing room.

I hope OAN sues, then White House counsel can enter into a consent decree giving OAN everything it asked for.
This tactic was invented by lefty enviro groups to work with lefty government agencies.
Time to turn the tables!
“White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA), a private nonprofit organization, maintains a seating chart that limits press access to White House briefings.”
Foxes in the hen house....its WAY past time to change this paradigm. Way past.
I’m sure the WHCA is staffed with fat ugly lesbians who are inclined to hate on a beautiful conservative woman. She is gorgeous!
A few things I think that I think:
* Its about time for Trump to b*tch slap the media on this matter.
* Precedence is not policy
* Id be happy to serve the lovely Miss Rion a sandwich, which she seems to need.
Trump can allow any media entity into the briefing room, all he has to do is decree it.
He really needs to discuss this censorship at his press briefings.
There’s nothing stopping him from granting video interviews with selected news people, and ignoring the “press corps”.
I would love for him to call into Tucker Carlson.
My guess is that the news organizations have a mutual agreement to boycott WH press briefings if the President does not abide by their rules.
Time for Trump to call their bluff.
My guess is that the reporters’ gallery is continuously videotaped. There should be no dispute over proper distancing.
#2 The other women reporters are jealous of her good looks besides being a conservative.
The WH should remove all seating and other non-essential furniture from the press room floor and force the press to pick a spot and stand. No placement or “seating chart”, just open space. Access control by a non-governmental entity is not acceptable nor does it have any standing in law.
I'm not only a reporter but I'm also a president.

At best attendance should be by WH invite. At worst a random draw.
Handle it like the NFL Draft.
Have them all attend by Skype. For their own safety of course.
Then Trump can select or mute each as he pleases. No rude shouting or grandstanding.
Just shut down the press room altogether. It’s not like it’s serving any purpose.
