New claims for unemployment benefits fell to 3.84 million in the week ended April 25, data from the Department of Labor showed Thursday.

That brings new unemployment claims, a proxy for layoffs, over the past six weeks to around 30 million. Continuing claims, those filed after the initial week of benefits, rose to just under 18 million.

Economists had expected around 3.5 million new claims.

So the unemployment rate is around 20%, in round numbers.

30 million filing for unemployment, divided by a labor force total of about 165 million people, will give us an employment rate of close to 20%.

Hopefully this trend has peaked.

I have been donating to the Trump campaign monthly so I get text messages about 10 times per day. They sent out one urging me to donate because they are falling short of their April prediction. I thought that was really tone deaf, considering thirty million people are falling short of their April predictions, and what is being done about it, aside from deficit spending.

When you calculate that, should you add the 3.5% who were unemployed when this started? Making the unemployment rate closer to 24%.

I’m getting them too. Trump’s base has been the hardest hit by this. The rats know this and it is part of the reason the DNC has sent out it’s keep it shut down orders.

I really believe if it had been 3/21 instead of 3/20 it would not have happened. The upcoming election allowed MSM to put Trump in a vice. It could not have gone any other way.

And those stupid survey instruments that ask for donations.

These federal numbers don’t include the number of backlogged, unprocessed applications for unemployment.

Nope. 62,000 murdered by by the Communist Chinese. 36 million total unemployed. Food shortages coming up. It’s an Act of War we just are allowing to happen.

Don’t count the PPP people that should have been on unemployment until the government came up with this plan to turn small businesses into unemployment offices.

They were not lost. They were stolen. Why is this a surprise, if you order companies to close, and run out of money for them to pay their employees, but tell them their employees can get all the money they need from unemployment, the companies are going to lay off the employees.

This is by design.

The number i care about is the unemployment number after we re-open; that’s when we’ll know what was actually LOST.

It’s an Act of War we just are allowing to happen.

You just added weight to my argument. We allowed it to happen from within.

The chicom buying out our meat industries and now shuttering them.

The chicoms buying land or mineral interests, exploiting the oil reserves and shipping to China.

The chicoms buying out mining interests and shuttering..

The list goes on but has one key component to them all. These buyouts required FERAL government approval to happen.
