These “medical experts” have yet to explain to me how something as tiny as a virus will be stopped by plain cloth.

It’s like trying to stop a sandstorm with a chain link fence.

It makes them feel better, less incompetent, and empowered in a Nurse Ratchet kind of way.

Droplets vs. aerosol. A surgical mask mostly stops the droplets outgoing. With all parties wearing masks the effects are multiplicative.

N95 stops droplets and aerosol outgoing and incoming, at least without an exhalation valve.

Czechia has done very well with a homemade mask campaign as part of its efforts.

And people put up slat fences to stop snowdrifts from blowing onto the road.
