The SPLC used to plant a big swastika on Minnesota making it look like at least 25 percent of the state were neo-Nazis. The reason for the big swastika was that a guy in Richfield ran a mail-order white power music distribution center out of his garage. The guy also had a PO box. The one-man operation was counted as one of the SPLC’s “hate groups”. I have a feeling that the overwhelming majority of “hate groups” are either totally non-existant or one or two man operations.
How many of these groups are FBI undercover operations?

Well, Resistance Records wasn’t really a one-man operation. It was basically an extension of the Minnesota chapter of the Northern Hammerskin skinhead group, the biggest skinhead group in the country. Still, I’d say they probably had 50 members in Minnesota at their peak, not exactly an existential threat.
