This is the latest in a seemingly endless series of thoughts and observations made while we all shelter in place and watch our government set the worlds biggest pile of money on fire.
Democrats believe all women should shut up when they accuse one of their own
Joe Biden loves the ladies. The long videos of him touching, rubbing, smelling, sniffing, kissing, and otherwise dirty old man-ing women and young girls are legendary and devastating, which means YouTube will likely delete them soon. But once youve seen an old man nuzzle a 14-year-olds ear like a pre-pubescent nerd trying to get to first base at his first dance in the school gym, you cant un-see it.
Ask yourself this question: which is more far-fetched, the idea that Biden would violate a staffer decades ago, or that a former staffer would have spent 27 years setting in motion an elaborate almost 3 decades-long plot to ruin him, should he ever find himself in a position to be his partys nominee for president? Senators are notorious for their liaisons with subordinates (power does weird things people and those around them), Senate staffers arent known for their ability to know what theyre doing this weekend, let alone double their age in the future.
I dont know if Joe Biden essentially raped Tara Reade, but I do know if someone accused me of doing what hes accused of, you couldnt stop me from not only declaring my innocence, but also condemning their damned lies. Biden has been silent. Eerily silent.
Who lets a month pass without saying a word in their own defense? Hes not going to court, so its not like his defense team is telling him he could land himself in jail if he says the wrong thing. His silence says more than all the prepared statements his campaign has circulated to the press.
Honestly, though, if he did do it, would Democrats even care? The chorus of leftists who support Biden indicate the answer is no.
There will be a lot more to say on this later.
Nancy Pelosi is non-essential
The House of Representatives was supposed to be back in session Monday, but Nancy Pelosi has called that off, citing health concerns for Members, yet somehow the Senate will be back. Does this mean the House admits theyre non-essential?
Its funny listening to Pelosi and her army of flying monkeys whine about the need for oversight of the spending theyve authorized when they run away from D.C. and any oversight duties. If they cared so much they could, A) look into how the Kennedy Center got $25 million taxpayer dollars the day they laid off 100 people, or B) do their damn jobs and hold public hearings.
The truth is they arent scared, theyre scared the public will see how worthless they are. They dont want Republicans to share the stage with them, pointing out the payoffs to their special interest groups they snuck in these bills while holding everyone else hostage. Better to declare yourself non-essential and hide than have more people realize how corrupt you are.
Whose side are they on?
An alarming number of Democrats are coming down on the side of China against the United States. So many, in fact, that youd think they were Hollywood studios. The leader of those siding with our enemies is Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy, who has so regularly absolved China for any blame in the spread of coronavirus that I have to believe he sees himself as International Pope without China even having to ask for forgiveness.
On Tuesday, this useful idiot without being useful declared, We dont know where the virus started. Actually, yes, we do. It started in China. Whether it was in a lab or a wet market matters less than the fact that the communist government there prevented their people from traveling within China while allowing them to go anywhere else in the world protecting themselves while inflicting it on everyone else.
Thats not by accident, thats by design.
None dare call it war
Theres a very small difference between unleashing a biological weapon on the world and allowing one to spread, and its getting harder to see that difference anymore. Talk of late has shifted to how the world will punish China for its, at best, indifference toward starting a pandemic. How the world reacts will be dictated by the United States.
This is no time of Obama-style leading from behind, sitting back and seeing how things go so you can either take credit if they go well, or avoid blame if they dont. We have to lead, if only because were the only nation that can and have it make any kind of difference.
While the economic responses are obvious tell China to get bent when it comes to collecting on the debt they hold that cant be all we do.
China is wildly aggressive on the world stage, particularly in Asia. They pull the strings in North Korea, whether tubby Kim Jong-Un is room temperature or not. Theyve built an island to control shipping through the South China Sea. Theyre always ready to invade Taiwan, pretending its part of them already and forcing the world to play along. Weve been too wishy-washy on all of it for too long.
The West, led by the U.S., allowed China to dictate most of the terms under which it operates because large corporations saw only two things 1.5 billion potential customers who could also serve as cheap labor. Thats not going to fly anymore.
But more than an economic response has to happen. We need to be ready militarily. China likely will not make a move against a united West directly, but they have no qualms about stirring the pot internationally through whichever North Korean ends up tying themselves to their marionette strings dangling in Pyeongyang, should fatter Mussolini be dead.
Since Dennis Rodman diplomacy likely dies with him, we need to be strong. As my friend Liz pointed out the other day at American Greatness, theres a possibility leftists in this country will allow our military readiness slip in order to focus on fundamentally transforming our economic order at home.
The idea that, at a time when the world is so uncertain, we could abandon something as smart and important as missile defense is incredibly stupid.
Democrats never liked the idea, belittling the concept as star wars when President Ronald Reagan first proposed it, and have been against it ever since. Of course, displaying the cant do attitude theyre known for when it comes to things in our best interests, Democrats insisted it couldnt be done and would be a waste of money. It could be, and was done. And theyve spent the time since trying to kill it.
Now theres the possibility of ending (t)he Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System provides the capability to engage and destroy limited intermediate- and long-range ballistic missile threats in space to protect the United States homeland. Are you kidding me?
Being able to intercept missiles in space is exactly what we need more of as our enemies develop weapons that enter orbit before hitting their targets, and we might cut it? Why dont these geniuses just slip on a Mao Jacket, eat a bat, and have done with it?
Weve always been great at adapting to new threats as those who threaten us adapt to our old ways to protect ourselves. But some people think NOW is the time to slow down and let our enemies lap us? Hell no!
TV viewing for shut-ins
I finally finished Tiger King, the wildly popular Netflix documentary on weirdos who abuse animals under the banner of compassion. I probably shouldnt say it like it was a chore, it ended up being very entertaining. And now I understand that all these people talking about Joe Exotic arent making jokes about how Joe Biden treated young staffers in the secluded halls of the Capitol.
While I was entertained, its a bunch of toothless dumb people who have no business owning a goldfish trying to care for beautiful cats that had the misfortune of coming into contact with morons who thought they could make a buck off them.
Sadly, there are more tigers in captivity in the U.S. than in the wild, thanks in large part to the moronic Chinese culture that thinks some parts of a tigers body will make parts of their bodies work better or get bigger. After 2,000 years of trying, the mere fact that theyre still trying it would make you think theyd catch on to the fact that it wont.
The two questions everyone who watches the series has are, A) Did Carole Baskin kill her husband, and B) Should Joe Exotic be in prison? Everyone comes up with their own answer, but for me its A) probably, and B) yes. But my bigger takeaway, after watching all six episodes, is that the world would be a better place if everyone in the damn things were in prison. There really isnt a redeeming character in the whole thing.
Of course, maybe Im just going stir crazy
Re: Tiger King. Wife binge watched most of it several days ago. I caught a fair amount by osmosis. Its a train wreck. People have a hard time not looking at a train wreck.
Regarding Chinas unleashing of The Xi Jinping Chinese Communist Party Virus and Flu on the world:
> While the economic responses are obvious tell China to get bent when it comes to collecting on the debt they hold that cant be all we do.
We will never have an honest public discussion on this because of the economic power China holds over the media megacorporations in the US.
Curious Why US News Networks Are Supportive of Chinese Government? Just Look at the Corporate Ownership

We will never have an honest national discussion about Xi Jinping, the Chinese Communist Party and the pandemic they inflicted on us if our media megacorporations have anything to say about it. And they do. Their C-suites are heavily invested in China. For one example of many Disney has a theme park in Shanghai and movie releases constantly. Do you think Disney-owned ABC News will say anything that might imperil those investments?
This is a huge, huge problem.
I’m in Michigan. If I wanna see a train wreck I’ll just see what my governor is up to today.
