Dr. Anthony Fauci discussed the possibility of having to cancel the entire MLB season Wednesday. Yankees president Randy Levine isn’t giving up, saying he believes everybody with a stake in Major League Baseball getting its season started should cooperate with each other.
Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told the New York Times, “Safety, for the players and for the fans, trumps everything. If you can’t guarantee safety, then unfortunately you’re going to have to bite the bullet and say, ‘We may have to go without this sport for this season.’ I would love to be able to have all sports back. But as a health official and a physician and a scientist, I have to say, right now, when you look at the country, we’re not ready for that yet.”
Levine reacted on Fox News Radio’s “The Brian Kilmeade Show.”
“I really believe everybody should just work together to do this. I was kind of surprised this morning when I saw one story about Dr. Fauci where he said that now he doesn’t — he thinks some sports might not play till next year, but last week on the YES Network, he said that — quite the opposite,’’ Levine said.

I sure hope President Trump has a good reason for continuing to use fauci as an “expert” ... but keeping fauci in his inner circle of advisors is a big “hit” to the President’s record of evaluating people for their knowledge and their trustworthiness, neither of which fauci has demonstrated he has.

Fauci is 2020’s Lance Ito - a person made famous by the moment who is enjoying the spotlight far too much. All he’s doing at this point is creating confusion and fear. He needs to be told - firmly - to sit down and shut up.

Mr. President, any effort you make to reopen America will be in vain unless you muzzle this guy. You have not made a single attempt to instill hope in the American people where he did not go running to the mainstream press and throw cold water on it. He is a career bureaucrat weasel and manipulation through the press is how they play the game. Either you sack him or the lockdown will never end.

I will point out that in 1918 we were fighting ina World War AND experiencing the Spanish Flu pandemic. We still had a MLB season and World Series.
Fauci is the scrawny kid who was chosen last when picking teams in gym class. He’s finally getting his revenge.
