The following email communication from the Woodford County States Attorney has made it clear to law enforcement in the county and the Mayors; Governor Pritzkers extension of the stay-at-home order will not be prosecuted or enforced in Woodford County.
Reading the email communication below it is crystal clear this States Attorney has identified the very same things we identified back on March 15, 2020, in this article.
It is refreshing to see those who took an oath to uphold our Constitution actually follow through with upholding their oath.
Dennis,
I sent the following to the Sheriff, Hillary, Kent, and John Krug earlier today. This can be forwarded on to the mayors if it has not already been done. But please add the last paragraph which I did not send, but is highly relevant.
I just want this group to know that I have been receiving daily questions from citizens of my opinion of the constitutional issues with Governor Pritzkers extension of the stay-at-home order. I plan on responding with it is not enforceable and will not be enforced at the county level due to statutory issues (beyond the 30 days) as well as improper taking of property interests and pecuniary interests without just compensation. There are certainly due process issues with a continued stay-at-home order. The law does not provide for a quarantine of the state, only individuals that have a contagious illness.
Every four years I swear an oath that in part states do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Illinois . I cannot let the powers that be continue to impose their will on the people in violation of separation of powers, due process, and our most basic concepts of liberty and freedom for all. We need to live in a world with COVID-19 no doubt about it. But the basic ideals our country were established on and that people have fought so hard for over the past more than 200 years cannot be eroded in this way.
New paragraph:
In addition, the Illinois Department of Public Health in 2015 published their emergency plans when dealing with contagious diseases such as influenza. Of particular importance to our present day discussion is the following excerpt in the IDPHs own words:
Quarantine (a period of isolation to prevent disease spread) is not effective in controlling multiple influenza outbreaks in large, immunologically naïve populations, because the disease spreads too rapidly to identify and to control chains of transmission. Even if quarantine were somewhat effective in controlling influenza in large populations, it would not be feasible to implement and enforce with available resources, and would damage the economy by reducing the workforce. Most people will voluntarily quarantine themselves in their home.
I confirmed that is on the IDPH website and downloaded it as well.
Bottom line is as it stands at this moment, the extension of the stay-at-home order will not be prosecuted or enforced in Woodford County. People, not government, need to determine what is best and safest for them, their loved ones, and the community around them. If that means staying at home, then they should. If that means going back to work and opening restaurants and bars and stores, then they should.

“People, not government, need to determine what is best and safest for them, their loved ones, and the community around them.”
Wow a voice of reason and sanity in Illinois.
We need to hear from Freepers who support the governor.
All you Freepers who support the governemt lockdown please weigh in on the actions of this sheriff.
Please spread the some of the actions have gone too far but you support some of it but not all of it and it will be temporary and we need to consider the vulnerable and elderly.
Is this sheriff right or not?

A man of principle... unlike Gov Jelly Belly
Just what the real citizens of Illinois need to hear & I only hope some of the other counties will read & heed also. It would be nice to see a recall campaign set up for Gov. Pritzker as well.
Please spare us that some
Wow! Finally someone who takes their oath seriously.
Yeah, I don’t support Pritzker. I’m not sure how many Illinoisans you’ll find here who support him.
When there is no available data, a lockdown seems like a good idea, because one doesn’t know how lethal this virus might be. However, his ability to declare a lockdown has passed, and beyond that point, too much economic damage has been done. IL will not receive a bailout, nor should it.
Which should we go with: People starving to death due to the lack of food, or a smaller number of people dying of COVID? People can’t pay their bills, and will become homeless, they won’t be able to afford food, medicine, or clothing. Most Americans under 40 don’t even have $1k in savings, which is dismal.
Pritzker’s reaction will be to raise taxes, which will only worsen the whole thing by taking disposable income from people who need it most. Besides, he’s the prick who dodged property taxes by yanking toilets out of his mansion and declaring it uninhabitable.
“When there is no available data, a lockdown seems like a good idea, because one doesnt know how lethal this virus might be.”
Enjoy the tyranny then, There is no limit on the things we do not know or the dat we do not have.
You have it backwards, when no data is available you do nothing. But then the Experts did a could job of conquering up some scary scenarios based on all the things they did not know.
There may be an asteroid headed to Earth, Climate Change could be real, did you know Ebola is still out there?
