President Trump has been mocked relentlessly for suggesting that ultraviolet light could be brought “inside the body” to kill the coronavirus, but there is ongoing research to do just that.
For example, the pharmaceutical firm Aytu BioScience announced on April 20, four days before the Trump remarks, that it has signed an exclusive licensing deal with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The center has developed and is testing a UV-A “Healight” designed to be inserted via a catheter inside the trachea to kill pathogens, including the coronavirus.
Ultraviolet, or UV, light is commonly used by physicians to treat skin diseases. Cedars-Sinai says UV-A phototherapy potentially could be employed in internal organs.

yes, bugs don’t like UV and this is at least part of the reason that seasonal flu is not usually in the high-sunlight of summertime.
also, it is well known that UV can kill many bugs.
while it is usually used on external surfaces and (carefully) can be used on skin.... it is sometimes useful as an internal application. so PDJT was correct. all the mass media had to do was check the med literature. instead they attack him relentlessly and without checking anything. damn the media wolves that are so unfair attacking people without cause

The medical value of a treatment will eventually speak for itself. Meanwhile, Trump needs to take the offensive on the big issues where doctors don’t have the last word. How about voting integrity? The economy? Personal freedoms?
