When I went to my local Walmart yesterday to pick up some groceries for the week, the shelves were more bare... The problem is everyone goes to Walmart to save a few bucks and expecting a large supply. The fact of the matter is their supply chain is brittle. Other stores like Aldi have new brands of TP. Even the Big Lots which is a dump of a store has better supplies now with new brands they never had before.

You're right about Walmart's supply chain being broken. My local store has had empty shelves for several years now, but not as bad as it was yesterday. The unstocked shelves got so bad, it always felt like they were having a "going out of business" sale. A while back they stopped carrying a lot of brand items, and substituted their own Great Value brand for a lot of canned goods. I used to buy the small DAK Danish canned hams there, but then they stopped carrying them all together. I ended up having to order them from Walmart online, but in order to get a deal, I had to order a 3 or 4-pack. It's just me here, and I live in an apartment, so my storage is limited.
I don't want to have to order food items online, and then have to make a special trip to go pick it up. I prefer picking out my own. It's one of the reasons I don't order from the store, because a clerk isn't going to worry about how lean the bacon is that they pick out for you, and I wouldn't allow them to provide a substitute for anything I ordered.

The upside: You got two double sized packages of thick bacon. What else could you possibly need? I mean, there beer right?
