Yet it is asymptomatic or shows only minor symptoms in hundreds of thousands of people. I know nothing of immunity science, but it seems counterintuitive to me that young people with relatively low lifetime exposure to viruses (compared to older people) seem almost immune to the CV.

Weeks ago, I heard somewhere that the CV kills because people have a hyper-immune response in which the body over-reacts, leading to the fatal pneumonias and such. But I only heard that once, and it seemed contrary to everything I had heard about immunity. It made it sound like a strong immune response was the PROBLEM.

Cytokine storm. I don’t think so. How can a person be “getting so sick because they have no immunity” and then have Cytokine Storm a few hours later. Those two pieces don’t fit in the same puzzle.

The theory explains why hydroxychloroquine, which is used to treat auto-immune diseases like RA and lupus, seems to help some patients with moderately severe cases (pre-ventilator).
