The next battleground in the fight to stop the coronavirus could be your living room. Starting today, health experts will visit randomly selected homes in Fulton and DeKalb counties to conduct antibody surveys.
Its a partnership with the Georgia Department of Public Health and Atlanta-based Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
The agencies will have teams visit randomly selected homes starting Tuesday through May 4. People will be asked to answer questions and provide a blood sample for antibodies tests.
Only homes that are selected can participate and the survey and samples are strictly voluntary.
We encourage everyone who is visited by the teams to participate in this very important survey that can help public health officials assess how widespread COVID-19 is in certain areas, said DPH commissioner Dr. Kathleen E. Toomey. This is another way that Georgians can play a role in helping fight this virus.
Antibody tests will not detect active cases, but they can help officials better understand how many people may have already been infected with the virus that causes COVID-19.
Patients should still rely on testing sites to determine if they have the virus.
If health experts show up at your door, officials say to make sure they have on a CDC vest, a badge and letter verifying who they are.

The ONLY reason to test everyone is to jack up the numbers to scare people to try to continue this lockdown as long as possible to increase the chance of Bozo... opps I mean Biden to get elected.
There is no law that says you have to answer the door.
Actually of a significant percent of the population had antibodies it might let our overlords end this charade sooner
People unknown to you....randomly showing up at your front door and attempting to take a blood sample.
What could possibly go wrong?
health experts
I just wonder about the training and qualification of people hired under this contract
Yup. Since this story is from Georgia I suspect that’s what’s happening.
Do a big enough sample of antibody testing to show tens upon tens of millions had it, recovered and didn’t even know they did.
That will finally blow Bozo the Modeler’s work out of the water.
And put us in a database?
Expert.
A person that knows a lot about one thing and little of anything else.

Actually this is just an entree onto the next hoax: we cannot be sure that even with anti bodies, there is any immunity. Note this AM China said: this will be a recurring problem every year going forward. Yup, when the commies put out a bio weapon, anyone expect it would not be a forever contagion. Also consider when was the last successful vaccine against the cold? Why that would be NEVER.
If you ever had the flu shot, then you will test positive for Coronavirus.
Oh if you cough, sneeze and have running nose. Never mind it is allergy season. No according to the control freaks it is Coronavirus.
Anything symptom that can be interrupted 1000 ways they are labeling it Corona virus. Why?
Answer: Because it is a one time payment of $13,000
Follow the money
Yes I wonder about the mechanics of this as well. So someone Rings your doorbell and they have a syringe and they’re asking to draw blood from you. They would I think it’s really odd to have someone who wants your blood.
Or they will get the most complete assessment ever of the proportion of the population that has had a common cold caused by a coronavirus. I'm not at all convinced that these antibody tests are accurate enough to differentiate between different coronavirus infections.
People keep bandying about these estimations that the number of people who have had Covid-19 is many times higher than the actual case count as if it is proof that Covid-19 is nothing to worry about. I don't think they realize that the scenario in which there are millions of undetected asymptomatic cases is far worse than what the cold hard evidence shows us. Assuming that Covid-19 cases are being accurately identified and quarantined or hospitalized means that there can be a reasonable expectation of containing and eradicating the virus before it becomes entrenched in the population. Assuming that Covid-19 is the most contagious virus known and that millions upon millions of people have already had it and are spreading it wherever they go means that containment is impossible, and no one will ever be safe from it. Either way, the case fatality rate is the same.
I’ve been in a database for a number of years - they did full DNA testing on us military pukes...”for posterity”...
Wow.
What they are testing for is a total joke. Originally fever, coughing and shortness of breath. Now they are adding chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, lost of taste or smell.
If you have anyone of the above symptoms, then you have Covid 19 according to the CDC and W.H.O. That is TOTAL B.S.
Never mind it could be a thousand other things like allergies, allergic reaction, just a headache, etc...
Here is a video clip of the local news telling the people what they are testing to see. When you look at it that can be almost everyone on the planet.
ROCKVILLE, Md., July 13, 1998 Ten minutes by car from this Washington suburb is a deep-freeze warehouse containing foolproof identifications of more than a million soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines. In the freezer reside the DNA "fingerprints" of nearly two-thirds of all active duty and reserve component service members. By the turn of the century, everyone in uniform will have a DNA card on file.
Yes they do keep your DNA on file. Any of the people on here saying they don't that are in the military should check their medical readiness tab on AKO (if their Army). Oh and by the way I am an US Army Nurse. I deal with this stuff all the time.
Plenty of info out there if anyone was curious...
Here’s me saying that most every grocery check-out person, most every teacher, most every kid who attends school already had this virus.
Immunity is kind of like a callous... it stays strong when it’s used.
Consider Smalltown USA - lucky - never had a COVID case there. So nobody has antibodies, right? So no, it's not safe for you to go outside, ever.
I only see that they added those (rather severe) symptoms to the list of indicators to look for when doing a differential diagnosis. They did not say that they are not confirming diagnoses with virus tests.
We have a large courtyard with a locked gate at the entrance. There is a doorbell out there. The doorbell rings and I look to see who it is but if I don’t know the person I turn and walk away. And they have no clue I even saw them. Yeah, like I’d open the gate for these guys. lol
