Personally I don’t like this idea. It just screams SQUIRREL! to me. Plus God forbid they lose one of these guys in an accident. Trump will own it.

The Navy and Air Force are doing a good thing to lift spirits, and to remind people of the greatness of this nation. We have are a magnificent people, we have an incredible military, and we are the greatest nation on earth.
No, it doesn't speed distribution of unemployment payments, or end tyrannical "lockdowns." That is beyond the authority of the military - but what it does do is give people a chance to literally look up, and to hope.
Actually, it is a nice excuse to fly as their schedules are cancelled and flying like they do requires much and frequent practice.
So, instead of just warping around burning JP-4, they are actually doing something.
I guess it is good that there is are never any aircraft occupying the that airspace.(/s)
