I meant getting the "19" while surfing....

I surfed the Huntington Beach cliffs...and the pier many times.

Home was 56th St. Newport Beach...really.

I surfed a lot of good waves...back then. Lot's of memories....

"I meant getting the "19" while surfing...."

I still don't get the "19". I take it that's slang for something. I've surfed since 15 (1965) starting on a 8'10" Bing at Redondo Beach breakwater, and then on and off with smaller boards, until last Navy times at Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach in the 80's.

I know "toes on the nose"; "cowabunga"; "outsiders"; "tubular"; "line up", and other slang, but never heard that term. But then I didn't hang out much with the hard core culture.
