The Navy hospital ship sent to relieve stress on New York City hospitals at the height the pandemic is discharging or transferring its last 12 patients this weekend as it nears the end of its mission, according to Northwell Health, which provides operational assistance to the vessel.
The USNS Comfort, docked at a Manhattan pier since March 30, will soon leave for its homeport in Norfolk, Virginia, where it will restock and be readied for another possible assignment, Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said. He did not provide a date for the ships departure.

Maybe New York State should pay the Feds all the money they wasted..
The hysterical-woman act by Gov. Cuomo was revealed to be a purely political plot to blame Pres. Trump for the disastrous policy failures of DeBlasio and Cuomo. Welcoming third-worlders by the millions to your sanctuary state, stacking them like cord wood in illegal apartments, and putting no healthcare plan in place for an epidemic should be criminal.
Another political coup for Trump and another failed opportunity for the Marxist NYC Mayor.
LAST twelve!? How about ONLY twelve.
IF I were Trump, I would send a DETAILED invoice for all the costs of the temporary hospitals AND the USNS Comfort.
So, the Comfort, which has 1,000 beds and only 80 beds for intensive care, wasn’t needed by New York State, which has 73,931 hospital beds and 3,000 intensive care beds??
I guess the people who weren’t gullible and didn’t get gaslighted into believing the ship was needed were right.
A big, fat, “I TOLD YOU SO!”, is in order.
Yer welcome. (not you, Hojczyk)
