I would say it doesn’t have to be that planned out or even sinister.
They have been waiting, especially Fauci, his whole life for some virulent pandemic to spread, so they could be seen as the white knights riding in to save the day. Gates even released a bunch of mosquitoes on stage to scar donors into giving up cash to fight malaria.
Seriously, look at all the books and movies on this issue alone. Micheal Crichton books, Dustin Hoffman the acting Fauci, even President Morgan Freeman...
When I looked up Anthony Fauci's history, what I saw was that he finished medical school and immediately went to work for the government (NIH). For the last 52 years, he has been collecting a government paycheck. With the exception of some volunteer work wearing a space suit and dealing with EBOLA patients, he has either done research or sat behind a desk for 52 years.
Now, my first thought when I was that, was "what kind of person goes through all of the schooling and stress to be a doctor, and then never functions as a doctor?"
And that is before you get into how much the world has changed in the 52 year Fauci has been collecting a government paycheck. This crisis is almost like what he has been hoping for, in order to justify his existence.
