The Trump administration is eyeing additional steps to restrict immigration visas within the next month, just days after President Trump signed an executive order limiting immigration into the country.
This is a first step... I think youll see additional steps, Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said Thursday on Fox News @ Night. [ ]
The order is mostly theoretical at the moment, since the State Department suspended all regular visa services because of the coronavirus crisis. But that could end sooner than the order, and restrictionists are calling on Trump to do better on what they see as an underwhelming order.
Not only does your exemption filled Executive Order apply to less than 10 percent of immigrants due according to FAIRs analysis, it completely ignores what is arguably the largest component of foreign-born impact on the welfare of American workers: out of control guestworker programs including H-1B, H-2A, and H-2B, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) President Dan Stein said in a letter to President Trump.
Those groups are pointing to a section in the order that says that the secretaries of State, Labor and Homeland Security will in 30 days review nonimmigrant programs and [recommend to Trump] other measures appropriate to stimulate the United States economy and ensure the prioritization, hiring and employment of United States workers.
They are hoping that those guest worker programs will be added to the list of restrictions when that is reviewed in 30 days. Its something that officials are hinting at.

The US should put a moratorium I’m immigration for at least 5 years nobody in. We have enough we’re full. Let’s focus on the health and economic well-being of Americans not the rest of the world.
D@mn right Trump should use this opportunity to deal with the immigration issue + China(intellectual property, fair trade, bio-warfare, etc.), the deep state and fake news.
he might also wanna check out NJ who wants to give ILLEGALS $600 per week durign hte shutdown (Notice how the following site calls these ILLEGAL INVADERS “Undocumented Immigrants”?)
They are still accepting tens of thousands of Mexican and Central American “guest workers” on H-2A visas because those visas are “non-immigrant visas” and agricultural workers are deemed essential to our food supply. Guest workers can stay for up to three years which gives them time to find an American spouse and then move to the top of the list for Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card) status. The vast majority of guest workers were already here before coronavirus.
Never let a crisis go to waste.

Well, if Trump takes any “additional steps” on immigration, it will be his first ones that actually help American workers. There’s incremental changes, and there’s barely a blip on the screen changes. His lack EO was the latter.
*last EO
It’s the best and most calculated political move to come of this mess.
While the media print nonsensical stories about bleach and Joementia Biden our President is doing all the work and thinking about how to best keep helping us.
I despise the Democrat party with every cell in my body. Let’s hear them continue the racist catcalls when he defends American workers.
Sounds like Trump is pissed off at JaVanka and their Silicon Valley BFFs that Tucker Carlson shredded him on it every night last week.
Guestworker programs of all types need to be added to the EO.
IMHO, seasonal farmworkers are the only ones who should be allowed. Farmers really count on this labor and the workers are seasonal, not permanent.
I say no immigration until unemployment is under 3% and if it goes over 3% start deporting people until we reach 3%.
Sorry, I just can’t stand reading it.
The headline is all I can bare.
I just wish they would hire some American Pharmacists.
I’m tired of trying to understand the guy filling my prescriptions at CVS.
Free beer tomorrow.
