When I was a kid in the 50s we used to vacation in Fort Lauderdale...the Bon Soir Motel.It was a nice family place with a distinctive sign out front.And then in the 60s we'd go to the Galt Ocean Mile Hotel.a really nice place with its own beach.
Well,the Galt went bankrupt and in the 80s,when i drove past the Bon Soir,the sign was still there but it had become a place where you check in by the hour.
Sad...to me at least.
