Someone, CNN I think, yelled at President Trump a question about this as he left.
Of course the shouting was done in a very respectful manner befitting a question to a United Sates President.

Ding ding. It has probably been circulating since last November.
Early January my wife was out a week and my boy away at school had a 104 degree fever and was out for a week. Anecdotal.
Um, Santa Clara county is now about 1/3 Asian, predominantly Chinese.
They go “home” all the time to visit the peeps. Bring back fun stuff.
well, the San Jose/ San Fransicko Bay Area has been turning into a giant Chinese enclave, with all airplanes full to there from Communist China...Silly-Con Valley industrial firms are approximately half Chinese owned and staffed already....and rising.
Some communities which formerly had only a handful (if any) Chinese now are majority Chinese and increasing. Or over a third and increasing.
Conclusion: that someone could have come from Communist China to San Jose...is not only possible, its a certitude... and not only one infected person but literally tens of thousands of people from Communist China arrive in San Jose/SF every day
