At Wednesday's coronavirus task force briefing, President Trump sparred with ABC's Jonathan Karl over ventilators. For weeks Karl and other White House reporters have been demanding to know how the government was going to be able to supply all the ventilators our hospitals need for the overwhelming influx of coronavirus patients. Now, when they've exceeded those expectations and we have a surplus of ventilators, Trump observed that the media has gone silent.
"We're now supplying ventilators all over the world because no other country could have done what we did, and you should say that's a great story," Trump instructed the press corps. "Instead, you say Trump was slow - slow, we were so fast. Plus we put the ban on so much earlier when Nancy Pelosi as an example - you don't say this. When she's having her rally in San Francisco in Chinatown in San Francisco nobody wants to say that."
He's right. On February 24, Speaker Pelosi was still encouraging people to come out to Chinatown.
Trump hammered the point home that no matter what he does, the media refuses to give him or his task force credit.
"So if we gave 350 [million people] a test ten times, the fake news media would say, where's the eleventh time?" Trump said. "He didn't do his job. Trump didn't do his job. Because you have a lot of bad reporting out there."
Karl shouted, "that's not true!" a few times.
"You're one of the leaders of the bad reporting," Trump replied.
Trump later suggested that the media is actually "unhappy" that they have extra ventilators because they "never mention it."
A surplus of ventilators is something we should all celebrate.

Trump asserts “whatever I say or do, you’ll say it’s wrong”. And then Karl yells “that’s not true!”.
I used to think the media is corrupt. Now I just think they are stupid.
Karl has been on the verge of an aneurysm ever since Trump ran that video.
They are both corrupt and stupid!!
Karl came across like a whiny baby.
Karl appears to be quite the jerk just like Fredo or Jim Acosta. Is there some secret competition for being the biggest nasty jerk that I have not been made aware of? Seeems like so many openly competing for the title, Paula Reid, zoo zoo zang, Gayle King, Katie Tur, the list is long.
That certainly also applies to people who do not watch TV news at all versus people who do nothing but watch TV news.
They are well paid programmed propagandists.
Karl is pathetic. He asked a question about testing trying to agitate because Pence had said in Feb testing would be at a certain level by Apr and it wasn’t. Apparently Karl hadn’t watched the weekend briefings or gotten briefed on them because that exact question was answered in depth by the Admiral and one of his young assistants — complete with graphics. It is just the same with those F’n idiot WH press corps, they ask questions that have been answered repeatedly, have zero ability to think or reason, and are there apparently to preen before the cameras and not to get information out to the American public. If you watch closely you will see them looking and texting from their phones and not paying attention to other’s questions or answers. They are a pathetic group of people who do little more than waste Trump’s and the team’s time.

At a minimum they should re-institute the policy requiring members of the “press” to identify themselves by name and the “news” organization they represent when asking a question. Everyone should know who the rude idiots are.
Nothing they can say or write will ever diminish President Donald Trump's determination, hard work 24/7 his optimism and successes for America and the American people.

I love how Trump gets under Karl’s skin by always calling on that hot chick from OANN who Karl had banished to the back hallway.
