For decades Guam has been the less expensive Japanese honeymoon alternative to Hawaii for many newlywed couples.
Spent a week in Guam on vacation when we were living in Japan. Not only is it cheaper to get to and rent a hotel, but the natives are genuinely friendly. The prevailing attitude in Hawaii is “spend your money and get the hell out of here.”
