Winslow, Arizona police recently released body camera footage of the arrest of a hardened criminal business owner.
“We don’t want you to feel like we’re harassing you.” – Winslow police.
“If you’re open for business we have that right.” – Winslow police.
Arizona, a state of 7 million, has had 208 coronavirus deaths this year.

Gov. Doug Ducey had declared a public health emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak in March. Later that month, he issued a stay-at-home order, prohibiting any business not deemed essential from conducting in-person business.
But several people complained to the Winslow mayor when Authentic Indian Store, which primarily sold Native American jewelry, stayed open well into April, police said.
The body camera video shows police contacting the owner, 71-year-old Daniel J. Mazon, on April 11.
As soon as the officers walk in, Mazon starts recording them with his cell phone. When officers tell him he can’t stay open, Mazon argues that he is in compliance, saying he changed his license name to “Indian Department Store.”
He told officers he was now selling hay, paper towels, water and food, which officers noted were just candy bars.
“I get one or two people a day – corona bologna,” Mazon says as an officer looks at his store license.
Police said Mazon had been warned twice about keeping his store open, once by the Winslow mayor and once again by police, in the days before this incident. The officer says in the body camera video that these warnings came after the store license was issued on March 24.

In Harris County the Police have refused to enforce the edict put out by a Judge in Harris County that everyone has to wear a mask.

And I hear about people on this site complaining about all of the hate for police officers.
Just like throughout all of history, the psychopaths who become police officers in the first place just get off on controlling people and abuse of their authority.

Can you go out to your local golf course for a round of golf?......I can't without fear of being caught and tried for trespassing.........

The store owner is now another old guy that will go out with his barrel hot, laughing heartily. And the cops have ID’d themselves as foes.

Many years back (early ‘80s...ish), driving cross country with a girlfriend, we passed through Winslow (before the fake storefront “corner”, the statues, etc.). I pulled up to a corner, punched in the cassette and we got out and danced to Take It Easy singing every word. When the song ended, we walked into a nearby bar and grill to get some lunch. Sheepishly looked at the older guy at the bar who saw us dancing out the window and asked if that happens a lot. Without missing a beat he rolled his eyes. let out a chuckle and said he sees it at least 10 times a day, eeeevery day and even more when the sun goes down.
But he said people are having fun and business is good so he didn’t mind it one bit.
And the concentration camp guards were just following orders but we hung them too.

Ok, so my plan for tomorrow is that I am going down to my local bar, which is currently open for takeout. Currently, in Denton county(tx) the fine for violations of judge Eads’s order is $500. Gonna order a beer and offer to pay the fine.
