You’re going to just LOVE the new America.
Where business owners will be arrested and fined for working.
And mothers will be arrested for bringing their children to a park.
Winslow, Arizona police recently released body camera footage of the arrest of a hardened criminal business owner.
“We don’t want you to feel like we’re harassing you.” – Winslow police.
“If you’re open for business we have that right.” – Winslow police.
Arizona, a state of 7 million, has had 208 coronavirus deaths this year.
This is an shocking video!

Gov. Doug Ducey had declared a public health emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak in March. Later that month, he issued a stay-at-home order, prohibiting any business not deemed essential from conducting in-person business.
But several people complained to the Winslow mayor when Authentic Indian Store, which primarily sold Native American jewelry, stayed open well into April, police said.
The body camera video shows police contacting the owner, 71-year-old Daniel J. Mazon, on April 11.
As soon as the officers walk in, Mazon starts recording them with his cell phone. When officers tell him he can’t stay open, Mazon argues that he is in compliance, saying he changed his license name to “Indian Department Store.”
He told officers he was now selling hay, paper towels, water and food, which officers noted were just candy bars.
“I get one or two people a day – corona bologna,” Mazon says as an officer looks at his store license.
Police said Mazon had been warned twice about keeping his store open, once by the Winslow mayor and once again by police, in the days before this incident. The officer says in the body camera video that these warnings came after the store license was issued on March 24.
I think there was a Supreme Court ruling affirming this.
You don’t have to show the cop your driver’s license in an instance such as this, you just have to state your name, as you mentioned in your post.
And the cops wonder why people don’t like them.
Or was it, “Open up I’m climbin’ in?”
Have you enjoyed the entertaining signs on the thruway blaring away “STAY HOME” “FLATTEN THE CURVE”
blah blah blah?
But remember, the good cops will someday stand up and say “no”....supposedly.
Any minute now...annny minute now.
Was it a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford?
But this is--And I believe the real America will eventually hold sway over the Nazi pigs like the ones in the video.
Okay, enough beatin' around the bush.
No supper for you! :-D
Purely anecdotal, but I know a cop in Georgia, near Hotlanta, who is and has refused to harass and issue tickets to people over the quarantine hoax. He says that 'everbody' (or a lot) of his homeboys feel the same way.
I disagree, some cops (not all by any means) abuse the law and some flat out make up the “law”. In this case he was right, they had no right to insist on seeing a drivers license. Then to arrest him for “not identifying himself?” First of all they knew exactly who he was, they had been there before. Second, and I may be off base on this one, I don’t believe that the cops have the right to force you to tell them anything. When you’re driving they get special “rights”).
No declaration by anyone, mayor, governor, whoever, can nullify our constitutional rights.
Cops don’t have to enforce illegal laws.
They need to be fired. Just following orders is not a valid excuse.
If true, much respect to him.
Sadly, he is rarer than hen teeth and heading into unicorn territory.
I used to be in the Cops Are The Salt Of The Earth camp. This lockdown has removed the scales from my eyes. They seem eager to violate the Constitutional rights of American Citizens while refusing to enforce actual laws against illegal aliens.
How many illegal alien barber shops have been raided?
And who the Hell determines whether or not a business is essential?
but if he owned an abortion clinic...
No other way to interpret it. A warning would have sufficed. Arresting him is a despicable act. And cops wonder why some people are shooting back.
You usually are. With a bottle. ;-)
